Prayer

Prayer
What as happen to the corporate prayer life of the Church today? Where are the pray warriors? If we want to see God impact our society our nation, we need to be praying together in unison in the vision God as given us, corporately.
Churches should be built on prayer, if we want to see great things happen we need to be doing this, there are always excuses, “come on Folks” this is the most important thing, we can all pray individually , but we need to be praying daily corporately in one accord, this is when we see Great Things happen.
When we are living in Revival prayer is easy, I find myself praying some times for hours, but trying to get other to pray with you daily is really hard work.
People want God to do great things but can’t be bothered to put the effort in.
People are willing to come to the Church meeting on a Sunday, band practices, and even house groups so why no prayer meetings?
I want to see God impact the nation I live in; I want to see people with revive hearts praying together in unison in the Spirit in one accord.
This is when we will see change, this is when God will impact the very fabric of our society.

What is True Revival

Revival is a word that is used so loosely today, you need to be truly living in Revival to really understand the true meaning of the word.
There is being Baptist in the Spirit, then there’s living in revival two different states.
What is living in Revival, it is having an amazing LOVE for God and for those around you
A strong Faith – Faith working through Love
Walking in holiness and a desires to see those around you saved
A real desire for prayer,  praying from deep within yourself.
Worshipping God where every part of you cry’s out to God in adoration, in praise and in worship, to give you an example, the other night I started to praise God and I felt such a presence of God it seem like I had been worshiping for10 minutes but I soon came to realize it was Morning no I didn’t fall asleep I was lost in God in worship, it is the most wonderful experience you can have, being in the very presence of God.
A strong desire to serve the purpose of God, whatever that might entail,
When we are in Revival we are dead to self and alive in HIM, we are in God, we are no longer living our lives but we are living God’s life through us. Revival isn’t an out pouring of the Holy Spirit, but a state of Holy living, living in the very presence of God.

Dead to self – Alive in Jesus

“If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself “(Matt: 16)
If we want to see true revival in our personal lives, we need to die to self and to be alive in Christ. How can God use us if we are full of self, how does that glorify Him, we are just glorifying ourselves, we need to be broken to self, If we look at the great men of God they always say I can’t do it Lord, they look at themselves and know there own limitation , I sometimes think when I read this God is jumping up and down in Heaven shouting “Hallelujah you got it” then God turns and says its not you (self) but ME working through you, Jeremiah is a great example of this he gave God every excuse in the book
I have sat at the dinner table with some great men of God some of them are international preachers and think to myself I‘m going to have a fantastic conversation with them and they find it hard to communicate with me, because it not them up on that stage but God working through them, they are nothing without Christ.
We need to understand this basic principle we are nothing without God who strengthen us.
We need to die to self, we need to understand that when we are dead to self this is when God takes over, it is then we can say God is in me and I am in Him
I have heard Christian say we have freedom of choice, we can choose to do God’s will or not, these Christians need a new understanding that God is in us and we are in Him we are no longer making our own decisions, God as now become the decision maker, if we are in Revival we are dead to self, We are living God’s life through us.

Revived Hearts

We all believe that Jesus came down from heaven as man was crucified for our sin and rose again so through Jesus we are save. He is in us and we are in Him and as Christians full of the Holy Spirit with revived hearts, we should be living in revival, so collectively the Church should be in revival BUT are we seeing this. In truth we have to say no if we were, the churches would be over flowing and I would even say our society would not be in the state that it is in, which in itself is heart breaking. God as commissioned us, to go make disciples of all nations, but we’d rather sit at home and watch television, we have become complacent, we need our hearts to be revived a fresh. What does revived mean it literally mean to come alive again, see we were dead in our sin but we are revived (made alive) IN Christ.
As I’m writing this, I’m listening to Jesus Culture “I need you more” and I wonder if we really think about what we are listening to or what we are singing, this song say I need you more, more than yesterday, I want you more than the air I breathe, more than anything, I need you more, your presence is more than life to me, can we really say this is true and if it is true does it reflect in our daily lives.
Does our soul, does our all, cry out to God in worship in praise and adoration, I don’t want to be a Sunday Christian, you see Jesus is in me and I am in Him,(1John 4:15)  He as revived my heart and I want to see all those around me feel the same way.
If we all have revived hearts than we are in a place of revival, it is only then that we will see Jesus impact our nation, the very society that we are living in.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

I know that 2012 is going to be a very busy year for the Church in the UK.
But how can we see this happen, and what are our responsibilities as Christians and most important what are the responsibilities of the Church leadership to ensure this continues not only now but for the next generation?
As I have already written, we need to be praying and moving in unison under the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the Vision God as given us. We should be supporting one another in the Gifts God as given us to fulfill His purpose and plan for our lives and the Church.
The responsibilities of the Church leadership are to ensure that all members reach their full potential in Christ. To come along side them and support them in the purpose and plan God has for them even if it means that they move on later to continue or fulfill that purpose elsewhere. Everyone is important and God has a plan for each of them.
The leadership should ensure that people don’t stay the same, that there should be Spiritual growth in their lives, it is the leader’s responsibility to the Body and to God. If our leadership isn’t in revival how can the Church be in revival?  There are so many leaders that can preach a good sermon but see no growth both spiritually or in their numbers.  Are these leaders fulfilling God’s plan for their own lives and for the life of the church?  We can look at the Churches in South Korea for inspiration, churches of over 1,000,000 people.   How many turn up for the daily early morning prayer meeting?  The answer is over 3 sessions 97% of the congregation turn up, all praying in one accord in the purpose and plan they have for their church group.
Revival stems from our relationship with God not only individually but as a church. While I was at Roffey College (Kingdom Faith Ministry) I saw great things happen.   I saw the new Revival Centre open and I saw hundreds of people coming into the Church, this happened not because Colin Urquart was an international speaker and writer but because he and the leadership there were totally submitted to the will of God and each other.  Stepping out together in faith in the vision he had given them, they prayed daily, seeking Gods will for themselves but also for the church.
If we want Jesus to impact our nation, we need leaders with vision, full of the Holy Spirit working to ensure that individuals under their authority reaches their full potential in Jesus and to help each person to fulfill the purpose and plan God has for them.

Who Am I

Who am I.

I have been a Christian for 27 years I came to know the Lord while serving in the Army. I went on to do a Bachelor of divinity as I longed to serve God and thought that this was the way to go, but it left me a bit deflated, I jogged along in my Christian life but didn’t really seem to be getting anywhere, I seem to be going backwards, I needed to revive my heart, I needed a fresh encounter with God.
One day while I was spending time with God he showed me I need to change my mind set, knowing the word, knowing His doctrines and laws was not enough I needed Faith I needed Gods Heart. I decided to go Back to Bible college not a theological college but a faith college I prayed God would direct me to where I should go, I went to Roffey in Horsham West Sussex part of Kingdom Faith Ministries, I spent a year there the best year of my life, I encountered Jesus in away I never knew possible this changed my life totally the way I prayed, worship and even the way I read my Bible, my whole out look on life had changed,  in reality I realized that getting my B.D had been a waste of time it was not knowledge I needed but to know the Lord in a real way, I needed that deeper relationship with Him. I left Roffey full of the Holy spirit (more like over flowing) and with a heart for revival.
My heart yearns to serve Jesus and I do so anyway I can, if something needs doing I’m there I’ve been involved with most aspects of Church life from putting out chairs to making cups of tea’s to being part of the worship team to being a pray warrior I will serve Jesus anyway I can, I don’t particular want to put Chairs out but I do it with joy in my heart and a song on my lips I just love to serve.

the Great Flood 2012

The great flood 2012

So much media hype about 2012 the world is going to end.
The media have brought out films about this, 2012 is a good example and those of us that have sky television may have seen on the Discovery channel, the so called experts telling us underwater volcano’s and volcano’s in the desert in America are going to erupt which in turn is going to cause a Tsunami that is going to flood the earth. But as Christians we know that the Bible tells us this is not to be true. So many prophecies have not been fulfilled and if we read and understand what God is telling us in Revelations, the world can’t possible end in this way and only God can destroy the earth.
I do believe there is going to be a great flood, but not the kind the media are talking about; I believe that God is going to send a great flood of the Holy Spirit over this Nation. You may ask why I believe this.
 Last night while I was worshipping and spending time in pray with the Lord I felt an awesome Presence of God and as I laid prostrated He gave me a vision; this is what the Lord showed me;
I was standing on the Ridge outside the cemetery looking down over Hastings when suddenly I saw this great wave engulfing the town and this great wave was coming towards me, I saw people running up the hill but they were not people more like black shadows full of darkness trying to escape this wave, as this wave drew closer and closer towards me I felt such an inner peace and such a presence of God, this wave continues to get closer and closer and as it did I could see it wasn’t a wave of water but the spirit of God flow like living waters across the town, when it reached me I was lifted off the ground and as I was lifted up I could see these living waters continue to flow into the distance covering all the land as it went.
The lord showed me that this was the wave of revival, the wave of the Holy Spirit that will sweeping through our towns, our villages our cities right across the nation, the shadows I saw running, up the hill was the evil he was chasing out of our towns, villages and cities. He showed me that there is going to be Tsunami but not of water but the Spirit of God that will sweep through the nation in 2012
